- Wasteland Strangler (Foil, Battle for Zendikar) Confidence Level 6: $2.5 to $10 (+300%, 24+ months) Card keeps showing up in decks despite the banning of Eye of Ugin. Eg: http://www.hareruyamtg.com/en/k/kD13518S/

Segment 3: Metagame Week in Review
This past weekend saw three big Standard tournaments: GP Portland and GP Rimni, as well as the SCG Classic in Syracuse. Bant Collected Company continued to be a major force, despite not making as strong a showing at Pro Tour Eldritch Moon. Izzet Thermo-Alchemist finished first at the SCG event.
The SCG Modern Open in Syracuse was won by the latest strain of Dredge deck, featuring Golgari Grave-Troll, Bridge from Below, Greater Gargadon, Prized Alamgam and Conflagrate, all cards on the move.
Segment 4: Topic of the Week
Conspiracy: Take the Crown previews kicked off this week, with a plethora of worthy reprints including Serum Visions, Inquisition of Kozilek, Burning Wish, Phyrexian Arena, Wild Pair and Exotic Orchard. The guys theorized that IoK and Serum Visions would be most likely to rebound from a likely price decline a bit down the road. Burgeoning foils are likely to be lovely and should see some increase in demand.
Of the new cards, Sanctum Prelate, Daretti, Ingenious Iconoclast , Arcane Savant and Leovold, Emissary of Trest have caused the most buzz so far.

I love how this site wants people to pay for pro trader content, but yet the last article posted was five days ago…….I would think that they would want more than one article posted since this past Friday.

Pro Trader articles were released on Aug 17 and 19th, with regular articles Aug 16, 18, and twice on the 19th. That’s a lot of content to access for $5/month, and that was in one week(!), especially given that the advice in any one of our articles can easily make you $5 or more. And that’s not even considering the daily price trends, daily Pro Trader email notices, access to vendor pricing, the podcast, article archive, and collection management and buylist tools. If you don’t see the value in all that, it’s possible this isn’t the site for you. If this was a Patreon scenario, it would be a slam dunk at $5/month.
That all being said, we are adding a couple of more writers and planning to make ALL content Pro Trader for 72 hours so that our Pro Traders gain a head start on making use of all of the great leads on ways to make and save money playing Magic: The Gathering.

Can you give any clues on who these writers can be? A little transparency on here can go a long way.
I imagine they’re still in negotiations and dont want to prematurely announce writers that may fall through.
Yeah, we’re not going to call out a writer without knowing they’re on board, but a few people are working on their first articles now. In the meantime, we’re easily hitting stride on articles with three in the last 24 hours.
NOBODY left in MTG PRICE admin? I have sent multiple “contact” emails which are curiously setup and impossible to actually send. I have asked for well over a month to cancel my premium subscription. Then the auto renewal happened and of course nobody messages me back. I understand the place may be short staffed but I’m about to have to open a grievance with my bank for the charge

Thank you James. I have appreciated and used this site for quite some time the insights provided have been a boon many times. The stagnation has been steadily increasing and if my renewal hadn’t transpired during this time I would have ridden it out to see where you guys take it. At present I cannot justify the cost as being worth the value currently provided. I will continue to check in and when things balance out again I will happily resume my membership.
