Segment 3: SCG Baltimore Standard Open and Modern Classic
Starcitygames was in Baltimore this weekend, and it brought our first look at both Shadows Over Innistrad Standard and Post-Eldrazi, Post-Ancestral Vision, Post-Thopter Foundry Modern. What showed up? What didn’t? What can we learn from these results?

Why not foils on Alhammarret’s Archive? They’re still a 1:2 ratio on non-foil to foil cost, and this is just EDH gold. It does stupid things with looting effects, and it turns faithless looting of all things, into almost an ancestral recall.
Foils are solid too, and I didn’t mean to exclude them. If the multiple is that low, you may be better served going for the foils instead, in fact.
Woah. That Erayo deck sounds insane!!!!
I’ve got a Jeskai Ascendancy combo deck, and haven’t tried Erayo in it. It costs 2, so it’s perfect with muddle the Mixture. Just wish Erayo was gold so I could Glittering Wish for it.
Whoa… didn’t even think about Puresteel paladin with sword of the meek. I think Puresteel is just good in general going forward. Every equipment they print, it’s not bad to have. Especially token based decks.
